Installation & Licensing

Install the plugin

1. Download voxel-toolkit.zip from your Code Wattz account.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
3. Choose the .zip and select Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

A new Voxel Toolkit menu appears in the admin sidebar once the plugin is active.

Activate the Voxel theme first

Voxel Toolkit checks for Voxel on load. If the theme isn't active, the plugin activates but none of its features will run.

Activate your license

A license key is required to receive updates. Until one is active, the plugin shows a Voxel Toolkit License Required notice in the admin.

1. Go to Voxel Toolkit → License.
2. Paste your license key into the License Key field.
3. Select Activate License.

The screen confirms the license status and shows the renewal date. If activation fails, the most common causes are a key already activated on its maximum number of sites, or an expired subscription — both are visible under Licenses in your Code Wattz account.

To move a license to a different site, select Deactivate License here first, then activate it on the new site.

Updates

With an active license, Voxel Toolkit updates through the normal WordPress updates screen — it appears under Dashboard → Updates and Plugins like any other plugin. See the changelog for what's in each release.

If updates aren't appearing:

• Confirm the license is still active under Voxel Toolkit → License.
• Confirm your subscription hasn't lapsed at codewattz.com/account.
• Check that outbound HTTPS requests to codewattz.com aren't blocked by a firewall or security plugin.

Back up before major updates

Voxel Toolkit touches post meta, taxonomy terms, and Voxel's own data structures. Take a backup before updating a production site, and update on staging first where you can.

Manual update

You can also update by uploading the new .zip over the existing install through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. WordPress replaces the plugin files and your settings are preserved — they're stored in the options table, not in the plugin directory.

Uninstalling

Deactivating the plugin stops all functions from running but leaves settings in place, so reactivating restores your configuration.

Deleting the plugin runs its uninstall routine and removes its options. Data written by individual features — post meta, custom terms, saved searches, RSVPs — is not removed by deletion. Export anything you need first.
