Images are downloaded into wp-content/uploads and attached as the product image, so they're served from your own site.

Products are created with stock management enabled and a stock status derived from quantity — in-stock above zero, out-of-stock at zero.
Cost of Item makes margin reporting work
The pre-markup tier price is written to FluentCart's cost field, so profit figures are correct without any extra bookkeeping. Change your markup and the two values stay in step the next time you run Update All Product Pricing.
Images are stored as external URLs pointing at the JDS Cloudinary CDN rather than being copied locally. Your site does not need to download them, but it does need to be able to reach Cloudinary, and the images are only as available as JDS keeps them.
Extra JDS data stored as meta
Regardless of platform, the plugin keeps additional JDS values against each product for reference:

All tiers are stored, so switching your Wholesale Price Tier and running Update All Product Pricing recalculates from data already held.

Your server needs outbound HTTPS to all three. A firewall or security plugin blocking any of them will cause imports or images to fail.
